Setting out of office messages

Rabbit Messenger makes it easy to set up out of office messages so customers are automatically notified when you’re out of hours. These messages help manage expectations and ensure you remain professional, even when you’re not immediately available.

Instructions

  1. Go to Settings in Rabbit Messenger.
  2. Navigate to the “Out of office messages” menu.
  3. Set your opening hours by choosing a start and end time per day (in 15 minute increments, from 00:00AM  to 11:45PM)
  4. Enable out of office messages and add a message:
    1. Choose a template or write your own message.
  5. Click “Save”.

Set opening hours: Specify when you are “open” per day. You can set times to the nearest quarter, for example from 9:00AM to 5:00PM Monday to Friday.

Out of office windows: A customer receives only one out of office message per window.

For example: If you are open on Monday from 9:00AM to 5:00PM and Tuesday from 9:00AM to 5:00PM, then the out of office window is from Monday 5:00PM to Tuesday 9:00AM.

Within an out of office window, a customer receives only one out of office message.
